Palliative Care

The Specialty Palliative Care team includes specialty providers to benefit patients and families living with a serious illness or injury. Our team focuses on supporting, understanding, managing complex symptoms, and navigating serious illness conversations. Our goal is to align with and improve the quality of life for both patients and families.

Services

The Specialty Palliative Care team is:

  • An interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, spiritual care providers, mental health professionals, and other complementary therapies, including art and music therapy
  • Skilled in communication and complex symptom management
  • Available for patients of any age facing serious illness or injury at any stage of their condition, in partnership with your primary teams and current treatments.
  • Here to help you and your loved ones navigate uncertainty by individualizing your care team.

Hospital and Outpatient Settings

Specialty Palliative Care is available within the hospital setting, it is also available in the outpatient setting within the Comprehensive Cancer Center Clinic.

We partner with your primary care team to manage:

  • Cancer and cancer-related pain
  • Heart disease
  • Renal disease
  • Lung disease
  • Liver disease
  • Psychiatric disease
  • Neurologic disease
  • Infectious disease
  • GI disease

*Currently, we do not see pediatric patients in the outpatient setting.
