Clinical Expertise
Dr. Lei is board-certified in emergency medicine and fellowship-trained in emergency medicine simulation. Before coming to Hennepin County Medical Center, he served as Assistant Dean for Simulation in Medical Education at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine as well as the Director of the Center for Experiential Learning and Assessment, Vanderbilt’s simulation center. At HCMC, Dr. Lei provides acute care for patients in the Emergency Department. He also serves as Medical Director of the Interdisciplinary Simulation and Education Center. His areas of interest include healthcare simulation, medical education at all stages, curriculum development, teamwork training, and quality improvement.
