Emergency Department
We provide care for a variety of conditions that require immediate attention, from serious illnesses like heart attacks and strokes to less severe injuries. Our Emergency Department is the busiest in the state with more than 90,000 visits annually.
Expert Care
Board certified Emergency Medicine physicians provide 24-hour coverage and outstate emergency consultation. Nurses receive and participate in teaching specialized training (ACLS, TNCC, APLS) in handling trauma and medical emergencies. As a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, rest assured that we have the team to care for the most severe and complex injuries for young and old alike.

Acute Respiratory Failure
The Center for Acute Respiratory Failure offers state of the art care for adults who develop severe respiratory failure from disease or injury.
Extracorporeal Life Support (ECMO)
This remarkable treatment is available to patients who are experiencing acute respiratory or cardiac failure who are not improving with other life support methods.
Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center
With decades of experience and expertise, we are one of the nation's most recognized trauma programs.
Hyperbaric Medicine
Our state-of-the-art Center for Hyperbaric Medicine is comprised of three multiplace chambers and one monoplace chamber. Critical care capabilities inside the chambers mirror those of contemporary ICUs.
