Dr. Borchardt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato. They went on to receive a Master of Art (MA) in Psychology with a double specialization in Sport and Exercise Psychology and Child and Adolescent Psychology from The Chicago School. They attended the University of Denver where they earned their Master of Art (MA) in Clinical Psychology and Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology with a focus in Health Psychology and Oncology. They completed an internship at Hennepin Healthcare and a Health Psychology post doctoral fellowship at the New Mexico Veterans Affairs (NMVAHCS).
Their approach uses evidence-based interventions and an existential-humanistic framework.
