Clinical expertise

Dr. Karsten is a family physician who works as both a clinician as well as educator, in the role of Program Director of the the Family Medicine Residency Program. She is a leader in group medical visits and is a provider in both Centering Pregnancy and Centering Parenting groups, in which prenatal and well baby care is provided in the group setting. She also focuses on maternity care in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
