Brain Injury Awareness Day at the MN State Capitol
Brain Injury Awareness Day at the MN State Capitol
On Tuesday, 3/25 we joined co-hosts the MN Brain Injury Alliance for Brain Injury Awareness Day AND Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities Disability’s Advocacy Day rally at the MN State Capitol. What a great opportunity to join our community partners and advocate for legislative issues pertinent to those living with a brain injury.

Employee Bike Helmet Sale - New and Improved
There was a new format for the employee bike helmet sale this year. Employees were able to choose a style and try on a helmet, and then received their helmet delivered the first week in May. We also visited Brooklyn Park Clinic to sell to employees there as well. The new format was a success and we sold over twice as many helmets as last year. Not only does this raise more money for the Trauma Prevention Program and their bike helmet giveaways, it also means more heads in helmets; a win for all.
The TBI Center Presents: A Review of Disorders of Consciousness, Unpacking (some) of the Mystery
Thanks to Matthew Puderbaugh, DO; Staff Physiatrist for Hennepin Healthcare and Assistant Professor for the University of MN Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. In this hybrid talk Dr. Puderbaugh identified what a Disorder of Consciousness (DoC) is, reviewed ancillary tests and skills that can be used to test for DoC , and talked about treatment and prognosis. What a great opportunity to better understand this unique condition.
