Health Equity Summit presents transformative power of turning obstacles into growth opportunities

Hennepin Healthcare's innovative Health Equity Department will host "Learning through Vulnerability and Perseverance," a two-day summit November 21 and 22 featuring renowned speakers, panel discussions and interactive workshops at the Mosaic in Minneapolis. The theme of this first annual Health Equity Summit is Learning Through Vulnerability and advancing health equity through perseverance – a theme that highlights how setbacks can drive transformation in healthcare systems. Keynote speakers include Dr. Rachel Hardeman, Dr. Amy Edmondson, Bukata Hayes, and Dr. Nneka Sederstrom, who states: "Equity is not an aspiration; it is a call to action. To achieve it, we must embrace our failures, own our mistakes, and rise with purpose and commitment to justice."  The summit will also feature engaging panels, breakout sessions, and the Perseverance Awards (presented Thursday, November 21 at 8 p.m.), recognizing leaders, teams, and organizations making a lasting impact in health equity.
