Clinical expertise

Dr. Gayken's interest in burn surgery began when he was a patient in Hennepin Healthcare's burn unit over 20 yrs ago while recovering from skin grafting on nearly 40% of his body. He is particularly interested in long-term reconstructive and functional outcomes in burn patients as well as their acute care management.
