Hennepin Healthcare's Talent Garden series continues its successful outreach to young people with its third American Indian Youth with Stethoscopes Summit on Saturday, April 12 from 9-3:15 p.m. American Indian men and women ages 12-18 from the Twin Cities area and throughout the state who are interested in learning about healthcare careers have filled all of the 100 slots for this summit.

The American Indian Youth with Stethoscopes Summit is part of a series of initiatives and events organized by Hennepin Healthcare through its Talent Garden program to expose youth to careers in medicine, while connecting youth to high quality work-based learning opportunities and creating access to a network of healthcare professionals of color.

Funding for this project is provided by the Center for Racial and Health Equity at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, as part of its mission to invest, partner, and advocate for communities creating authentic change to heal racial and health inequities. This American Indian Youth with Stethoscopes Summit is also made possible by generous donations from Delta Dental of Minnesota.
